Senior Minister Joe Tucker & First Lady Coretta Tucker

Senior Minister Joe N. Tucker is a native of St. Petersburg, Florida and has humbly served as the Senior Minister for the past 19 years at 5th Avenue Church of Christ. After years in corporate America, he was redirected by God towards a different path, which led to a decision to attend Evangelical Seminary, South Florida Bible College, and Florida School of Preaching. He was later ordained by Dr. I.C. Spivey in July 1999 at the Fifth Avenue Church of Christ. He continues his growth in God's word, strengthening his knowledge through the attendance of many lectureships, seminars, leadership and minister's workshops.
Brother Tucker has served in ministries in various capacities and has passion for teaching others how to apply the Word of God in everyday life, which goes far beyond the church in which he serves. He is grooming men in the Kingdom to become better leaders for God. and is a counselor to all. Brother Tucker reaches out to those in the community who may be in need and is a stronghold that keeps our brotherhood unified in God’s Kingdom within the Tampa Bay area and beyond.  He is a standing speaker for national lectureships and gospel meetings as well as host to lectureships within the Tampa Bay area.
His vision, purpose, and mission includes not just the saving of a man's soul, but the wholeness of man and his needs by serving and the giving of ourselves. His favorite bible verse is Philippians 4:13; I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
Brother Tucker is happily married to Coretta (Newton) Tucker. He has 2 sons, Damain and Jarvis; 3 daughters, Ashley, Erika, Shanetta Knowles; 2 grandsons, Damain Jr., Kyler, and a granddaughter Ari.

Associate Minister Lester "J.R." McCoy

Associate Minister Lester "J.R." McCoy was born in Tampa FL where he attended Hillsborough High, graduating with Honors. Brother McCoy continued his education at Johnson & Wales University North Miami Campus where he received an AS Degree in Culinary Arts and a BS in Food Service Management. While at Johnson and Wales, Brother McCoy was called by God to help his people on campus and with the help of others began Takers By Force Ministries. This ministry sought to introduce to some and reintroduce to others, the love and hope that can only be found in Christ. After college Brother McCoy returned to Tampa and began his career in Youth Development with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Tampa Bay as a Program Director. During this time he also served as a Substitute Teacher, Mentor, Sunday School Teacher and the Youth Minister of the Highland Ave Church of Christ in Tampa. Brother McCoy is currently a Private Chef, Substitute Teacher in Hillsborough County Schools and serves faithfully at the 5th Ave Church of Christ in St. Petersburg, FL.

Associate Minister Antonio "Tony" & Sister Marianne Seay

Associate Minister Antonio "Tony" Seay was born and raised in St. Petersburg Florida graduating in 1986 from Pinellas Park Senior High School. In high school, Brother Seay lettered in football and basketball. He spent the first two years of his collegiate career playing basketball at St. Petersburg College and then transferred to Averett College (University) where he earned a degree in Business Management. In 2008, Brother Seay earned an MBA in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. In 2015, Brother Seay was inducted into the Hall of Fame Class for Men’s Basketball at Averett University.
Brother Seay had the opportunity to spend time coaching high school basketball for three years at Shorecrest Prepatory and one year of collegiate at Rose-Hulman in Terre Haute, Indiana. The last 14 years he has been employed at St. Petersburg College. The first two years working as a Retention Specialist and Brother to Brother Coordinator. The last 12 years have been spent working in Financial Assistance Services serving as a Campus Lead at the Downtown Campus. Brother Seay serves as a mentor for students in the Get Connected, Stay Connected Program as well as an Advisor of the Harambee Club (Black Student Union) at St. Petersburg College.
Furthermore, he serves on the Board of Advisors for the Florida African American Student Association.
Brother Seay obeyed the gospel in 1978 at 20th Street Church of Christ under the guidance of Brother Robert Simmons. After returning from Terre Haute, Indiana, he spent a year worshipping at Northwest Church of Christ. He then received an invitation from Brother Tucker to come over, work, and lead the Youth Ministry here at Fifth Avenue Church of Christ. He served in that capacity for three years building the youth ministry into a sanctuary for God's children. After a conversation with Senior Minister Tucker in which he shared his vision for Fifth Avenue, Brother Seay became an Associate Minister. He teaches Sunday school and Wednesday Bible Class while also serving on other ministries. He has been a member of 5th Avenue Church of Christ for 13 years.
He has been married to his high school sweetheart Marianne (Belafonte) Seay for 25 years and they are blessed to have two beautiful daughters, Ashley and Amber. In addition, they have been blessed with their first grandchild Carter Nicholas Seay.
One of Brother Seay's favorite scripture is Jeremiah 29:11;
"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end".

Brother Deogory & Sister Kim Harris

Brother Deogory Harris was born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and was added to the church in March 1977 under the Leadership of Dr. W. F. Washington of the New Golden Heights Church of Christ. Bro. Harris began his pursuit for higher education in 1979 while matriculating at South Western Christian College in Terrell Texas as well as Southern University in Baton Rouge, LA where he studied business. After college, Brother Harris felt compelled to use his education while serving his country, so in 1983 he enlisted in the United States Air Force where he served 10 years as a military Law Enforcement Officer and 13 years as an Equal Employment Opportunity supervisor, investigating command level and high profile Unlawful Discrimination complaints for the Air Force. During this time period, Brother Harris excelled in his military career and managed to gain an extensive background in Employment Law, separating himself as one of the premier Air Force Mediators and Conflict Resolution Specialist.  He was formally recognized and lauded for his high resolution rate, which saved the Air Force millions of dollars in future litigation and court costs. Brother Harris has been educated in quite a few military academic schools, civilian colleges and universities specializing in areas of Leadership, Strategic Management, Conflict management, Criminal Justice, Social Science, and Business Administration to name a few.  In 2005, Brother Harris was honorably discharged from the Air Force after almost 23 years of distinguished military service.  Currently, Brother Harris works as a Federal Mediator, Alternative Dispute Resolution expert and a Federal Investigator for the Office of Resolution Management, Washington, D.C. bureau. Brother Harris is also the founder and CEO of FAMCOS, (Five Avenues Mentoring and Community Outreach Services Inc.), which is a non-profit 501(c)(3) © organization. The organization provides one-on-one mentoring and tutoring services to at-risk youth throughout various local communities. He is happily married to the lovely Kim Ward-Harris, and has three children… Deogory, Brittney, his bonus daughter Latoya, and one granddaughter, Pharah Joi . One of Brother Harris’s favorite bible passages is Romans 8:35-39.

Brother Brian & Sister Elicia Smith

Brother Brian Smith, a native of Tampa Florida, has passion for God and his son Jesus and loves working in his Kingdom. He is happily married to the love of his life, Elicia (Harper) Smith and they have a daughter (Chante) and a Lhasa Apso named Gracie. Brother Smith holds an Associate of Arts Degree in General Studies from Central Texas College and a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from Florida State University. He is a retired 21 year veteran of the U.S Army as well as the Department of Juvenile Justice as a Manager in the Children Division. He is currently employed with the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office. His favorite scriptures are Romans 8:6 and Exodus 20:12

Brother Byronton & Sister LaTosha Jackson

Brother Byronton Jackson Sr, was born and raised in St. Petersburg FL, and is a 1993 graduate of Gibbs Senior High School. He's been married to his high school sweetheart Latosha Jackson for 16 years. In those years, they have created a beautiful family together which includes three children Tah'Kerra, Byronton Jr. And Bry'sion Jackson. He obeyed the Gospel in 1995 and has have been a member of Fifth Ave Church of Christ for over twenty years. Brother Jackson is a Finance undergrad with a 17 year career in accounting. He is certified in IRS Sales and Use tax compliance and FL Department of Revenue 1099 tax reporting. He also holds a certificate with the Insurance Institute of America for Property and liability and INS 21 Property and Liability Principles. He is currently the supervisor of Accounts Payable with Feld Entertainment Incorporated, where he manage cash flow forecasting to anticipate incoming and outgoing funds while ensuring the company is in compliance with IRS 1099 reporting guidelines. His favorite scripture is Psalm 46:10
